fring Adds VoIP to iPhone

This is not an apple rumor,lol. The above picture is me accessing the iTunes store and actually seeing a voip program for the iPhone and iTouch, presumably. This is kinda amazing when you think about the stringent contract AAPL has with AT&T(T). To even things out, it seems this program only works with the wifi function, not the 3G network.

It was so cool to hear them again on their new podcast show http://feeds.gdgt.com/gdgt/podcast-mp3/ Waiting a whole year was torture. With good chemistry and major connections, we all knew they couldn't stay quiet for too long. The twitterverse is curious about their new site and it's content. I'm just glad to hear guys who enjoy gadgets as much as I do. What do you think?

OK, That's it! I'm having the nurse write "Multimedia Fatigue" on my chart...We just had a heated discussion not more than 4mths ago about video comments on our blog, and now someone (without my permission) has started a website full of 12 second video clips? How am supposed to follow them? Are they mp4 so I can put em on my ipod? Www.Qik.com allows us to use itunes to keep up on our favorites there but I have to convert them to get it on my nano. That defeats the purpose. If you are going to "WOW" me with new Web 2.0 video sites allow me to carry it with me so I can show my friends and make them do it too.

So back to this 12seconds.tv thing...Drew above is trying to figure it out. I'm trying to care and hopefully somewhere a VC, just before he hits the green button asks "Cuil, but can you rss it?"...

LG Announces First Blu-ray Disc Player With Capability to Instantly Stream Movies From Netflix to the TV - MarketWatch

"Available this fall, the LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player will play high definition Blu-ray discs, up-convert standard DVDs to 1080p and allow Netflix subscribers to instantly stream more than 12,000 choices of movies and TV episodes from Netflix to the TV for no additional charge."

I left Blockbuster as soon as I could. And Hollywood Videos was a joke. The only other choice I had was Netflix. Now of course there's Vidcasts and soon IPTV. With so many ways to watch media, who's going to make it in this shark pool?

Looks like Netflix is in it to win it. With Itunes swinging hard and Amazon next up to bat, the dvd mailing company is now making deals with everyone to secure it's own streaming content. Xbox yesterday, streaming Blu-ray DVD players today. What does Tomorrow promise? Blockbuster should be asking that same question...

Ecommercetimes has a great post about Rhapsody's attempt to take a bite out of iTunes. Will this force Itunes to try a "subscription" model? We'll see...

SERIOUSLY, if you want the news before everyone else, go to itunes and give these a try...

I'm NOT an Apple Guy but I finally bought an Ipod this year...Boy is the video sharp!!! With Microsoft failing, will Apple take control of the majority? Is Apple TV going to go mainstream?

Ever since I started using public transportation again,I've been getting weird stares. Why? Because I catch the daily news, vidcasts and podcasts on my ipod Nano. That's Dangerous in Southwest Philly? Maybe but I'll take my chances to stay up on the latest tech. Since Leo Laporte's been globe hopping, I've missed the round table podcast he so faithfully has every Sunday. That's a good thing though because I was able to come across "The Gilmore Gang" http://gillmorgang.techcrunch.com/feed/ . Not The Gilmore Girls, although I enjoyed their talking style also...

A Company Guy Named Fred Wilson gave very good points on his blog. What program/website do you use to stream music? Itunes? Windows Media player? Radio websites? There is so many choices and it looks like the record companies are starting to take notice.
