24 Hour Battery For The HP Laptop- WANT!
September 9, 2008 - 8:42am — SolacetechHurray for Blu-Ray, I mean Centrino 2!
July 15, 2008 - 5:52pm — SolacetechAfter miscue, Centrino 2 takes the stage | News - Business Tech - CNET News.com
This time around, Centrino 2's high-definition media capability is what Intel is trying to push. The whole platform is set up to enhance Blu-ray playback, and the company says it will help a laptop's battery last two hours, which for many films means you can see the entire HD movie without having to recharge.
Blu-Ray has won the HD war and it's spoils are laptops and new technology allowing battery life to last as long as the movie.
Are We Too Wire(less)d?
July 14, 2008 - 11:22pm — SolacetechMy latest Project Manager doesn't have a clue. He uses the latest iteration of the Razr and a huge Windows based laptop to handle his work load. What? Where's the blackberry or Wing or Iphone? Where's his Bluetooth, I mean unfold your phone and answer it, really? No PDA or Ultra mobile PC. He doesn't even have a beltclip for his cell, and don't get me started about his lack of ringtones! What decade is this dude from?
When I asked him about it, he said he doesn't want a crackberry . He admitted that he'd be glued to that little screen all day instead of getting stuff done. He runs around using his cellphone and his voice (what no email?) to direct the work and goes back to his desk to answer any important emails(oh...). He's actually pretty organized and productive.
Most of the people who bought the latest iPhone will never use it's full capabilities. I've seen some with windows mobile phones NEVER use the keyboard. One time I took it from them and started using it to take notes. You would've thought I spat on it! Seriously, the other countries with far advanced phones are advanced because they use all of the machine's functions not because it's the latest thing out.
Still in love with Eee
July 7, 2008 - 9:06am — SolacetechT-Mobile
This little laptop is a monster at work! It allows me to be mobile and test/resolve issues. I need to write this off somehow! Just Kidding. When I noted on www.friendfeed.com/solacetech that I dropped my Eee for the third time, here's the response i received :
"FriendFeed
posted a message
“I just dropped my almost two weeks old Eee for the third time...”
Saturday at 11:51 pm
...and what happened? I'm guessing...nothing. I've dropped mine half a dozen times (twice in 2 minutes flung it across a room by snagging my foot on the power cord) and it acts like it hardly noticed. Good feelin', ain't it? Oh, if it got smooshed...sorry. - Jim Stanger
it still works! my daughter dropped my vista laptop and the screen broke! i <3 Eee!!! - You"
