Brett Favre Comes Back, But For What?

"The NFL officially reinstated veteran quarterback Brett Favre on Monday, clearing the way for his return to the Green Bay Packers. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's announcement ended constant media speculation on the 38-year-old's playing status after he had retired earlier this year."
Boy, why do competitors have trouble hanging it up? Sure it's the only thing you've done since pee-wee sports and your family aren't use to seeing you at home. You never paid attention to your studies in school, so you never invested your money or built businesses. Yes you get that itch come training camp and your friends already talk about the "good 'ole days"...
But, that does not give you the right to hinder your team from moving on. From crushing your back-up's psyche once he realizes he won't start this season either. It's not fair to the history books to try to win one more ring. Let someone else try to do what you've done, not what you're doing now...

Jumping On Fantasy Football Early

The NBA Finals are done and I'm not one of the "boys of summer". What should I do then? Get ready for some football of course! I sat out of the Fantasy football play last year, but I'm ready to go now. Here's a room I made focusing on football info and NFL Scores: http://friendfeed.com/rooms/the-nfl-box-seats

Sen. Specter wants independent investigation into Spygate (AP)

Either this is bad timing with the baseball scandals already hurting, or this is good timing so professional sports can clean out all of their closets at the same time...

Sen. Specter wants independent investigation into Spygate (AP) -

The Boston Herald apologized to the New England Patriots on the front page of their Wednesday May 14, 2008 newspaper for falsely reporting that the Patriots videotaped a St Louis Rams walkthrough the day before their 2002 Super Bowl XXXVI contest . The Patriots defeated the Rams 20-17 in an upset win becoming Super Bowl Champions for the first time in franchise history.

Hold on, NFL. Spygate isn't over. Not if an "incensed" senator from Pennsylvania has anything to do with it. Sen. Arlen Specter on Wednesday called for an independent investigation of the New England Patriots' taping of opposing coaches' signals, possibly similar to the high-profile Mitchell Report on performance enhancing drugs in baseball.

Eagles Making Moves

Asante Samuels

Love it love it love it!!!! Asante Samuels as a DB will give the defense a chance next year! Where will one of the other corners go? Who cares!!! Let Asante stick both sides, it will still be an improvement...

The Other Manning doing his thing!!!

The Other Manning doing his thing!!!Two Mannings in a row get to the Superbowl. That has to be a record somewhere...

Why Philip Rivers is OK

priv.jpg

Philips Rivers, Wait, why is Dan Marino's phone ringing while on live tv???? Anyway, Philip Rivers is from NC State and broke almost every ACC passing record. He has A LOT of attitude and commands the field. Did I mention NC State?

Micheal Vick's prison address?

If this is real,Drop him a line....

Donavan Mcnabb...Really?

DMcnabb

(I spelled his name wrong, lol) Where is my "let me be me" cap? Philly is not a fickle sports town. From day one we didn't want Donovan Mcnabb. His whole career has been under a "microscope"and the latest incidents has given us a reason to say we told you so. Really though, what other choice did we have? A new Quarterback loving Head coach would of course pick a QUARTERBACK,not Ricky Williams,a runningback.
