I avoided the BET Awards this year. Still mad at music. Tonight though, we landed on the re-broadcast and I was stunned! Lil Wayne was the closing act and the camera panned the audience during his performance. What amazed me was how every artist shown in the crowd was reciting Weezy's Lyrics word-for-word! That's Power to me. Not only is he repeated by every young man (EVERY) with earphones, he's your favorite rapper's favorite rapper....

Good music connects. If you want to feel a certain way, you play a certain type of music. Young ones usually feel the same way across the planet. That's why when we were young we related to two kinds of music: Rock and Hiphop. Thanks to MTV, we've crisscrossed our cultures and music to make the world a little closer, whether we what to admit it or not. Today rock groups rap and rap groups add electric guitars. This isn't new, but it is more frequent than before. I wonder what type of music there will be once my kids get to their teens...
