Is The Friend Feed Party Over Yet?

friendupdate, originally uploaded by Solacetech.

Not at all! The Stats have changed also. With the resurgence of www.twitter.com ,tweet love is still the majority of traffic. The friend feed bookmarklet has picked up speed too. I've been trying to use it like twitter with some success.

Of course the biggest change has been the use of "rooms" and now the ability to add feeds to the rooms. I've read many discussions on this and the consensus seems to be a little automation with a lot of conversation.

Back to the rooms. Members have found a wide range of uses for it from Social Media arguments to baby announcements. My secret favorite room is the Problogger room. I won't go into detail because rarely does a paid blogger discuss their how-to's....

So is the www.friendfeed.com party over? Not even close. These guys created a platform with no presets or bondaries. You can do what ever you want to do here. It reminds me of a machine originally made to just add. Remember that one?

Friend Feed revolt?

ff revolt, originally uploaded by Solacetech.

Very interesting situation today! The creator of a public room at http://friendfeed.com/rooms/social-media decided to add two moderators for the room. This caused an uproar from one member asking for democracy. He suggested a vote should be made to elect moderators. The latest post from the Admin sidestepped the issue and basically said "Deal with it".
If a room is public, how Democratic should things be? Of course if you make a PRIVATE room, you call the shots. How though does the phrase: "He who has the gold makes the rules" apply to FriendFeed? Should Paul/others intervene? Also earlier I saw a post claiming Robert Scoble was Paid to Promo Friend Feed...Really? Has the trolls officially arrived? You Tell me.
