Ruby falling off the rails?
June 1, 2008 - 11:35pm — SolacetechWith all the twittering Issues, i decided to visit wikipedia And do some research. Oh. Well it looks like the platform is made to develop web programs fast. Doesn't really go into detail about scalabiity. Can twitter move to another platform? Have they hired more developers yet? Ruby on rails seems to be a great science project, but clearly it's not ready for primetime...
No Twitter Day
May 20, 2008 - 10:34pm — SolacetechMay 21st is don't use twitter day. After many complaints about twitter's outages, some influential bloggers (http://friendfeed.com/bwana)have decided to give Twitter a rest. So how do we communicate in the meantime? Enter www.friendfeed.com . This site also has twit-like options as well as other rss features. You can add/see flickr, your blog, googlereader, youtube, etc. The great thing about it is that it allows you to have a THREADED conversation. What's that? Well, say you would like to start a conversation with ALL of your friends at the same time. Friend feed does that. Say someone jumps in the convo late. Will they get lost in the sauce? No, a threaded conversation shows everyone's input. No need worrying if someone has already said the witty reply you were going to give. It's all right there. Nice, neat and easy to see, try that with @Twitter...
