Tech-Ex: Cell Phones to Get Smart Batteries: "Warning, Warning, Danger, Danger"

"With all the negative publicity over Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, whether it's the Nokia battery recall last year, the Sony laptop battery fiasco, exploding Eee PC batteries, and more --- smart batteries that could warn you of an impeding disaster would be great, wouldn't they?"

The inhibitor for more advanced features on our phones is the battery. We all know the Iphone's battery life is terrible and when you add bluetooth,wifi and GPS it get's worse. So how long do we have to wait before this is fixed? Hopefully not too long. Wait a moment, did they just say "exploding Eee PC Batteries"????

Walking into tmobile i had one thing in mind, a cellphone with a good camera. I've had every smartphone/pda made for the US so that was out of the picture. I'm so past expensive freezing phones. I really wanted a nokia but i can't afford the n95 and the low end nokias have terrible cameras. Just as i was about to leave and buy something used online, the sales Rep showed me the SAMSUNG Blast. It's kinda flimsy, all plastic. Looks like a music-centric phone, something i didn't want, but then he slid the phone up and showed me the keys...What!!! A qwerty keyboard on this little thing!!! Ok so i bought it and put my prepaid sim card in it. After forwarding my skype # to it... I have no complaints! It last 3 days without a charge, both of my bluetooth headsets connects great and I'm writing this from the phone now! This the best phone I've had so far...
