{Sorry I spelled "Lynne" wrong in the title}
In my short blogging career, I've been greatly influenced by this young lady. Here's the interview:

What's your day job (it can be vague if you want to be safe)

Director Social Media FastCompany.com

How long have you been at your location?

Work? two years

What's the name of your Blog and what is it about?

Music, Media, My Life (The title sums up what it's all about. I've been blogging since 2001 and it's evolved from a personal blog, storytelling blog, hiphop blog, marketing blog, tech blog, etc. It has all the elements that are parts of both my professional and personal lives.)

Do you own a company?

No. I am a consultant though. I consult web and technology companies. Content strategy for Web companies. Other companies the consulting I do is more of a marketing nature.

How do you use Social Media?

I use social media to stay in touch with friends.

I use social media to build my reputation and expertise. So that's personal branding.

I use social media to market the company I work for, or company's I am consulting for.

I use social media to share ideas and thoughts and make connections with people based upon shared interests.

I use social media to share things I think are cool and interesting -- and even as a form of lifelogging, instead of by video, flickr shows images of where i've been, twitter has tweets of what i'm doing, facebook has a bit of it all, friendfeed also has a bit of it all as it encompasses so many of the other places that I'm sharing and communicating.

Where do you think Social media is going?

In the words of Charlene Li "Social networks will be like air"

She wrote: "Instead, I believe that in the future, social networks will be like air. They will be anywhere and everywhere we need and want them to be. And also, without that social context in our connected lives, we won't really feel like we are truly living and alive, just as without sufficient air, we won't really be able to breathe deeply.

There are four components of what I'm calling this idea of "ubiquitous social networks": 1) Profiles; 2) Relationships; 3) Activities; and 4) Business models. These aren't new -- I wrote about the first three in my original report on social networks back in May 2004. But in the context of ubiquitous social networks, they will develop into the following: 1) Universal identities; 2) A single social graph; 3) Social context for activities; and 4) Social influence defining marketing value. For more detail on each of these components, see the extended post (warning: it's really long!)."

I agree with this idea wholeheartedly. It's already coming into play for many of us who use social media daily. I use last.fm to stream all of my music listening on my work computer, home computer, and iPod. I get a read of how I've listened to music over time -- who my favorite artists were last year and who they are now. What tracks do I listen to most. This online social media site not only allows me to connect with people with similar listening habits, but it gives me a productive tool as a music aficionado to understand more about myself as a music listener. I can scrobble there from muxtape and from hypem. So everywhere I listen to music is coming into this one place and this engine is recommending friends to me and other music to listen to.

It's air.

Who's you're favorite Blogger?

That's so unfair. I don't have any one favorite blogger. Let's just say that The Black Snob http://blacksnob.blogspot.com/ is becoming one of my favorites of this year.
