Tech-Ex: Cell Phones to Get Smart Batteries: "Warning, Warning, Danger, Danger"

"With all the negative publicity over Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, whether it's the Nokia battery recall last year, the Sony laptop battery fiasco, exploding Eee PC batteries, and more --- smart batteries that could warn you of an impeding disaster would be great, wouldn't they?"

The inhibitor for more advanced features on our phones is the battery. We all know the Iphone's battery life is terrible and when you add bluetooth,wifi and GPS it get's worse. So how long do we have to wait before this is fixed? Hopefully not too long. Wait a moment, did they just say "exploding Eee PC Batteries"????
