Switching From Feedburner to Feedburner.Google
I just might be late to this party. Checking Techmeme this evening shows how everyone is talking about Google/Feedburner adding ads to feeds now. This a good move since people often visit your site via rss. This also meant they used to get your content without the adds. Well Ha on them! Now we can annoy them with ads built in our feeds!
That's not the whole story though. Now I have to change my "subscribe" link to http://feedproxy.google.com/feedburner/myphillynetwork to get the feeds with ads.It looks like Google copied Feedburner over to a subdomain of sorts. Hmm, as I read the Adsense info more, it went on to say how this transistion isn't automatic and just "email" them your info to get the ad injection...Since I can't wait, I just reburnt my feed...
Can we see Techcrunch jumping over right now? No, I think losing their subscription numbers and starting over would kill them. Don't worry guys, I'll be your Guiena Pig....
Please "resubscribe" to my site by clicking the Subscribe Link... Thanx
