Why IS Video Getting So Popular?
Video marketing, or viral marketing as it’s called, can be a tremendous tool for entrepreneurs and small businesses alike. The potential of video hits across all
spheres online and even has a place in offline marketing activities. It’s truly powerful… but only if you “hit the mark.” Video can also have it’s downfall. Especially when the campaign is not targeted to a specific business objective and created for the specific target market it is intended for.
You know video content is about to explode once you see a "how-to" on video marketing. What factors show how Video monetization is now almost a fact?
1) Technology.
Remember when you patiently waited for images to load online? 56k modems are a thing of the past now and with Verizon's FIOS, video is too easy to load and watch on the PC. With the monster steps Google is taking via Youtube, video marketing is soon to be a very smooth road.
2) Content.
Many young ones watch their comedy online, their sports, movies and home videos from others online. This generation is ripe for the picking. You can even look at blogs and see how easy it is to leave a comment via video. There's even a microblogging video site called www.12seconds.com!
With just these two points, it's clear to see how much video is about to leap frog audio in online popularity. But this is just my opinion, what do you think?
