Even though some countries have their own TV software and hardware built in their phones, http://myphillynetwork.com/rb2 Has it’s own device that plays over the air digital tv signals. Is this going to be a win for them?
The commercial above sets a common scene where the guy is with his girl/wife and therefore misses the latest sports event. In comes the Flotv guy showing how you can watch portable tv no matter where you are.
There are a couple things about this new format. First the signal strength. Digital signals going to the new recievers today is an iffy business. Most TV stations didn’t know their signal wasn’t strong enough to cover their former analog customers. How will digital and portable devices fair any better?
Second is the price. Is their a price for the device and a price for the signal? Can it be prepaid like the Peek email device? Lot’s of things to consider but one good point is that this will not be the first one…
