Tech Week In Review 10-2-09 | Black Web 2.0.

Thanx @waynesutton for the google wave screencast. Even though I’m not a developer, I was almost sure I was going to get an invite for the second wave of users…Nope, it didn’t happen and that’s ok because I really wouldn’t have anyone to test it with since users like @Rahsheen and others didn’t get their invite yet either.

I am however looking forward to the time when Google wave goes mobile. Today’s mobile devices are quicker and almost always connected to the net so I can see this being a one stop shop for mobile communication. Instead of calling in a number and password for a conference call I can just join in and possibly see the slides being shown in realtime.

The best part about the movie “Cloudy with a chance of meatballs” was that when they showed Great Britain, everyone was watching the news on their mobile devices. With Google Wave we can do that plus interact with whoever we are talking to, be it one or 100.

Now that’s the kind of tech I want to see *yawwwnnnn* don’t tie me down to a laptop or desktop please :)
