Hulu – Watch your favorites. Anytime. For free.

I’ve done some more tests and it’s still not looking pretty. Some have complained about Hulu’s loud automatic playing of glee after firing it up. What get’s me is that Hulu desktop is slurping about 160mb of RAM right now. Now my latest client said they just bought a PC last year with VISTA and 512mb of ram. That’s about average for laptops too since when I bought my first Vista laptop I had to go back and buy more ram the same week.

This doesn’t include the desktops with good video cards. Salesman save those for the gamers who know what deets they want in a PC

So if Vista itself takes almost half and Hulu takes about 160mb, what’s left? The screenshot above is me playing it on XP w/512mb of ram. Still choppy, I even right clicked the video and chose the lowest quality on flash since the app doesn’t have setting buttons readily showing. Who did Hulu make this app for? I really think it was just to quiet the bloggers because no consumer can comfortably play this…
