Just got in and noticed a hit on my blog from a placed called SocialMention.com. Haven’t seen it’s launch anywhere but it looks pretty well established. Of course it uses twitter too, but this way is special. It has different metrics to measure a subject, website or twitter user. The two that caught my I are:
- Sentiment. This supposedly measures how many times your query was mentioned positively or negatively. It’s not that accurate because it measured my negative posts as negative mentions…fail.
- Passion. This is a measure of how many times the people that do mention your search will continue to do so. Basically if the same folks always retweet your posts, you are loved, awwwww.
Besides that it’s just a lot of math used to simulate whether the topic you searched is liked or not. I’m definitely bookmarking this under blogger tools, how about you?
