In this case, following the link would be a Very Bad Idea, because it will lead you to a malicious website designed to infect both Macs and PCs with a DNS changing Trojan which at the time of writing has low-to non-existent detection rates by security vendors

To be clear, this is more of a trojan = dangerous software disguising itself as something else. In this case Guy Kawasaki’s twitter page was hijacked and any link twittered lead to Websites that tried to trick you into downloading the trojan.
It’s really scary because the malicious software attacks Windows and Mac PC’s. That’s right, Mac. The above link explains more as to how bad it is. Basically downloading the bug will cause more questionable sites to pop up and completely annoy Mac and Windows users.
It looks like the best defense for this is to becareful what you click on and have Trend Micro as your antivirus program… “Trend Micro customers would already have been protected from visiting the known malicious site using our Smart Protection Network…”
