Guide: How to convert videos for S60V5 phones using Handbrake.
Thanx to my wife, I have many, many, many home videos of my family, many, and it gets crazy fumbling between her Flip MinoHD video recorder and her Fuji 6.8 MP Camera. Where are we taking of these gadgets? Well first we go on trips and events and then we share them at video and picture parties.I don’t think this is only a Philly thing so please tell me if you do this too at get-togethers…
I said all of that to say this. Usually I dump loads of family video from my PC to my phone so wherever we are I can entertain with my personal comedies. My latest phone, the Nokia 5800 xpress music however, has given me a slightly bumpy road when playing videos it hasn’t recorded. What do I do? Well I do what any self-respecting nerd would do: Search forums for the answer.
I wrote about this before but the latest info is even better:
“Step 1) Download Handbrake, install and run.
Step 2) Go in Handbrake toolbar to Tools>Options and set in “General” tab settings the Default Path for your files and un-check “Always use ipod….”.
You will have to do this step only once.”
There’s about three more steps that I recommend you click the link above to get to. It has pictures and everything so it’s best that I teach you how to fish instead of just handing you the fried platter. I tested it and it works perfectly. Let me know if you get the same results…
