YouTube – Batman: The Dark Knight on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
I felt so liberated after receiving my Asus 701 from Amazon. No longer did I have to carry a huge laptop bag and have a sore back for the rest of the day. Having just 30 seconds from power to desktop really spoiled me. My co-workers used to snicker seeing me with a black “pouch” but after they saw what the netbook could do…
That was then and after 8 to 9 drops and kicks from my 3 kids, the 701 has refused to stay consistently on. It might just be the battery since I did buy a new powercord, but you know how us early adopters are, it feels like it’s time to move on.
To what though? I did a lot of research and no one has the perfect tablet PC yet. the Nokia 810 is so-so and the n900 already has a replacement mobile OS waiting in the wings. The Crunchpad is still in production and the Mac/Apple iTablet will make my wallet spontaneously combust when it comes out in 2010.
What should I get next? I want something unlocked that has a vivid touchscreen for internet browsing and blogging, can play high def videos without chocking and push out music like there’s no tomorrow. Having something that’s ready for the future would be cool too, like two cameras for video calling.
Gaming! Gaming isn’t really one of my favorite pastimes but riding public transportation lately has given me a new outlook. Something has cool name brand games is key, I like devs but you can’t compare Madden or FIFA to Tap tap something etc…
Does anyone have any suggestions besides the Nokia 5800? It’s 3g, 100 cheaper than it’s release price and it was just upgraded software-wise…
