VoIP Watch: Rumored New Apple iPod Touch Will Be Huge for VoIP, Multimedia.
I’ve installed Skype on any and everything. Just seeing the round LOGO and my contacts was a true triumph on my ipaq. The only reason why my account expired last year was because business was slow and the IM p0rn was driving me crazy.
To have VoIP on one of the new gen iPods would be, in a word, “Epic”! Imagine placing the tiny nano to your ear and saying “Why yes, I am calling you from my iPod…” Think of the accesory boom then. In Philadelphia there is practically wifi everywhere thanks to Philadelphia Wireless.
I don’t really see it happening though, Apple’s not about to ruin it’s good thing with the mobile carriers. Someone told me today Verizon is next on the iPhone list, so allowing wifi calling at no additional charge looks like a no-go.
